Hood campaign for HD-76 recognized as a critical race by 44th President
(Grand Rapids) – Today, Rachel Hood received the endorsement of former President Barack Obama in her race to serve as Grand Rapids next State Representative, serving the 76th House District seat.
“President Obama began his political career in the Illinois legislature. He knows how important state races are, especially in this historic mid-term election,” said Rachel. “I am honored to receive the president’s endorsement and the assurance that he believes in our campaign to fight for our Great Lakes and clean water, equitable education, access to health care and investments in our infrastructure. This distinction fuels my fire to win so that the people of the 76th House District have the representation they deserve.”
“With over 6,000 races on the ballot this year, we are excited to join forces with President Obama to highlight the amazing men and women like Rachel Hood running in must-watch races for their state legislatures,” said Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee (DLCC) Executive Director Jessica Post. “We stand united and will do everything we can to elect candidates like Rachel who will stand up for democratic values and work to move our nation forward.”
